49th INTERNATIONAL CHESS OPEN, CITY OF BADALONA

Tournament approved by the International, Spanish and Catalan Chess Federation. Valid for obtaining International Titles . It will be played with the Swiss-Dutch system (C.04.3) for 9 rounds in 2 groups. Valid for the Catalan Circuit of International Opens.
It will be played in Badalona from August 3rd to August 11th, 2025.

Group A: FIDE 1950 or higher

Valid for obtaining International Titles. Players with an ELO belonging to Group B, renounce to score in their section (corresponding to Group B), both for tournament prizes and for the XIX Catalan Circuit of International Opens

Group B: FIDE 1949 or lower

Whoever voluntarily participates in Group A, renounces scoring in his section (corresponding to Group B), both for tournament prizes and for the XIX Catalan Circuit of International Opens.
